The grapes grow in vineyards in the Orvieto area of Umbria, near Lake Trasimeno, at elevations ranging from 100 to 500 metres above sea level.

Trebbiano forms the principal component of the blend, complemented by Verdello, Grechetto and Malvasia.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18 °C.

Label / history
The “Chiantigiane” label brings together several small wineries that pool their resources. Their vineyards collectively cover 2,460 hectares, and their cellars are located in the provinces of Florence, Siena and Pistoia.
