Cleto Chiarli founded the company in 1860 after managing Trattoria dell’Artigliere in central Modena, where he made Lambrusco for regular customers. Their favourable response encouraged him to produce it for a wider market. The estate has remained in the Chiarli family across successive generations.
Lambrusco was known during the Roman Empire and has a long history and tradition.
