Label / history
Cleto Chiarli founded the company in 1860 after managing Trattoria dell'Artigliere in central Modena, where he made Lambrusco for regular guests. Recognition of these wines prompted production for wider sale. The Chiarli family owns more than 90 ha of vineyards in the Lambrusco DOC production area. In 2002, Mauro and Anselmo Chiarli decided to build a new winery at the Azienda Agricola Castelvetro estate; since 2003, the facility has produced Lambrusco under the “Cleto Chiarli” brand.
