Label / history
Cleto Chiarli founded the company in 1860 after managing Trattoria dell’Artigliere in central Modena, where he made Lambrusco for regular customers. The favourable reception encouraged him to produce it for wider sale. In 2002, Mauro and Anselmo Chiarli decided to build a new winery at the Azienda Agricola Castelvetro estate; since 2003, it has produced Lambrusco under the “Cleto Chiarli” brand. The Chiarli family owns more than 90 ha of vineyards in the Lambrusco DOC production area.
