Vineyard and terroir

The Lambrusco grapes come from the company’s vineyards in Emilia-Romagna.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo traditional sparkling-wine vinification at a controlled temperature.

Serving and pairing

Pair with cold-meat appetisers, pasta, salads, fruit or desserts.

Label / history

Cleto Chiarli founded the company in 1860 after managing Trattoria dell’Artigliere in central Modena, where he made Lambrusco for regular customers before expanding production for wider sale. The Chiarli family owns more than 90 hectares of vineyards in the Lambrusco DOC production area.

In 2002, Mauro and Anselmo Chiarli decided to build a winery at the Azienda Agricola Castelvetro estate. The facility has produced Lambrusco under the “Cleto Chiarli” brand since 2003.
