Grapes
The blend combines Chardonnay with Grechetto Gentile.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed, after which the must ferments in stainless-steel tanks. A second fermentation takes place in pressurised tanks to preserve a bright, clean character.
Tasting profile
Refined and well balanced, with a fresh, delicate character. Richness is matched by light freshness, while the overall profile is elegant, bright and clean.
Label / history
Cleto Chiarli founded the company in Modena in 1860, after making Lambrusco for customers at Trattoria dell'Artigliere, which he had managed in the city centre. The Chiarli family owns more than 90 ha of vineyards in the Lambrusco DOC production area. In 2002, Mauro and Anselmo Chiarli decided to build a new winery at the Azienda Agricola Castelvetro estate; since 2003, the facility has produced Lambrusco under the “Cleto Chiarli” brand.
