About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from hillside plots called "Bure Alto" and "Montepala". Harvest runs from mid-September to mid-October.
Vinification
The grapes are destemmed and pressed. The must is then fermented with skin contact and gently pressed to extract colour and aroma.
Ageing
The wine ages for one year in Slavonian oak barrels, then rests for several more months in bottle after bottling. It qualifies as Superiore by ageing at least 12 months from 1 January following the harvest, with an alcohol content above 12% at the time of consumption.
Tasting profile
Elegant, with ripe berry notes and a subtle hint of spice.
Label / history
Around 3,000 bottles are produced each year.
