About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Syrah is suited to Lazio's climate and sandy soils. Special vine-growing techniques help the grapes reach a balance between sugar levels and phenolic ripeness.
Vinification
After harvest and pressing, the grapes undergo cold skin maceration for 4–5 days at 18–20 °C, a method that highlights their natural freshness and aromas. Fermentation continues in stainless steel tanks at 25–27 °C. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is transferred to oak barrels for malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
5 months in oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation also takes place.
Tasting profile
Balanced and expressive, with a refined berry-and-spice aroma and a silky texture. Soft tannins, expressive fruit and a gently saline mineral note give an authentic wine.
Serving and pairing
Suited to meat dishes, at lunch or dinner.
Label / history
The label was redesigned in 2009 during an event where artists captured wine lovers' vivid emotions on canvas. Since then it has been part of a charitable project.
