About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese grows on brick-red flysch soils. Multispectral camera-equipped drones support precision vineyard work.
Grapes
The wine is made from selected Sangiovese grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand to preserve the berries intact, then destemmed and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in oak barriques, followed by 16 months in bottle in the winery’s cellars, developing depth, richness and concentration.
Label / history
“Poggio Ferro” means “iron hill” in Italian.
