About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in San Floriano del Collio, on hills at 210 m above sea level. The soils consist of layers of clay marl and sandstone. The vines are 51 years old and are cultivated without herbicides.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in September. Fermentation takes place in conical oak vats without temperature control, with 10 days of skin maceration. The wine is bottled without filtration.
Ageing
The wine ages on its lees for two years in acacia barrels, followed by a further six months in the winery’s cellars.
