About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown without herbicides on hills in San Floriano del Collio, at 220 m above sea level. The soils consist of layers of clay marl and sandstone, and the vines are 39 years old on average.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in September. Maceration and fermentation take place on the skins for 30 days in conical oak barrels, without temperature control. The wine is bottled without filtration.
Ageing
The wine ages on its lees for four years in acacia barrels, followed by at least six months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
Highly complex.
