About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from 15-year-old vines in vineyards within the municipality of Serralunga, at approximately 330–400 m above sea level. The soils are limestone and clay with sandy deposits.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September and placed in crates to preserve their integrity. At the winery, they are pressed and fermented in vertical stainless-steel tanks, with 20–30 days of skin contact. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine matures in oak barrels for 18–24 months, followed by a further six months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
