About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the producer’s vineyards in the Trevenezie IGT area, a zone encompassing Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto and the province of Trentino in Trentino-Alto Adige.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and transported carefully to the winery. Around 20% of the crop is dried in dedicated rooms for eight weeks. Maceration lasts 25 days, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature not exceeding 25 °C.

Ageing

The wine matures for 18 months in 30–60 hl barrels made from Slavonian and Allier oak.

Tasting profile

The wine has refined elegance.

Label / history

Before establishing the family-owned Fantinel winery in Friuli, owner Mario Fantinel ran several hotels and restaurants. His later desire to work with the land led to the winery’s creation.
