About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Pecorino grapes are grown in vineyards around Ortona, in the province of Chieti.
Vinification
The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness. The juice is kept in contact with the skins, then gently pressed at a low temperature for 12 hours. Fermentation is held at a controlled 12 °C. Most of the wine (80%) ferments in stainless steel tanks; the remaining 20% is vinified in oak barrels, which adds complexity to flavour and aroma.
