About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from small local vineyards in the provinces of Teramo in northern Abruzzo and Chieti in the south. Farnese’s oenologists selected the sites for their location, sun exposure and vine age.
Vinification
Extended cold fermentation extracts aromatic compounds and ruby colour from the skins. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
The wine ages for six months, with approximately 60% maturing in American oak barrels and the remainder in French oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Rich ruby in colour, with a spicy aroma, fine structure and firm tannins.
Serving and pairing
Pairs with Italian meat dishes.
Label / history
The name Yume comes from the Japanese word for “dream.”
