About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Greve, at the heart of Chianti in the hills of central Tuscany, on sandstone soils. This terroir and the long growing season give elegant, highly aromatic wines. The Terre Natuzzi estate, owned by Fantini Group, lies in the heart of Cerreto-Guidi, surrounded by vineyard-covered Tuscan hills where Sangiovese is the main variety. The climate is mainly continental: mild winters with sufficient rainfall and sunshine, then hot, dry summers cooled by brief showers. These conditions help the grapes reach full ripeness.
Vinification
The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness and gently crushed. They macerate for 1–2 weeks to extract colour and other polyphenolic compounds.
Ageing
The wine ages for 9 months in a combination of large and small barrels.
Tasting profile
Elegant, with a lively black-fruit flavour. The aromas are shaped by time in oak.
Serving and pairing
Pairs especially well with meat dishes and Italian food.
