About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Montepulciano is grown in the company's vineyards in Roseto degli Abruzzi and the surrounding areas. The climate is mild, the sea and the mountains are close, and the soils are clay.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, carefully transported to the winery, thoroughly sorted and crushed. Fermentation and maceration last 15 days, with regular pumping over, in stainless-steel and cement tanks at a controlled 28 °C. Malolactic fermentation takes place 80% in stainless-steel tanks and 20% in 50-hectolitre oak casks.
Ageing
The wine ages for 4 months in steel tanks.
Tasting profile
Refined dry red with a generous, rounded palate, fruity notes and a long, inviting finish.
