About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The individual Il Solleone vineyard lies at the top of a hill, 350 m above sea level, and receives sunshine throughout the day. The vines are more than 50 years old on average.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September. Maceration lasts 60 days, and fermentation takes place with native yeasts in wooden vats, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine ages for 36 months in oak barrels, followed by 12 months in concrete vats and 24 months in bottle. It is bottled without filtration.

Label / history
“Solleone” means “big sun” and is the name of both the wine and its vineyard.
