Aged on the lees in small oak barrels and bottled in July.
Label / history
The name “I Sistri” refers to the sistra, ancient Egyptian musical instruments associated with the cult of Isis, goddess of agriculture, abundance and love. Also used by Greeks, Romans and Jews, the horseshoe-shaped instruments had movable rods and produced a sound resembling a German glockenspiel. The label carries patterns formerly used to decorate Mesopotamian cashmere pieces, where they symbolized fertility.
