Label / history
Fontana Candida was founded in 1958. Its estate lies in Agro Tuscolano, an ancient agricultural area of Lazio, on the site of a Roman villa believed to have belonged to the poet Quintus Horatius Flaccus. Marcus Porcius Cato discussed the region and its winemaking traditions in On Agriculture.
The winery’s emblem is a broad glass designed specifically for Frascati wines. It produces 7.5 million bottles annually, including 5.5 million for export.
