About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Fontanafredda’s own vineyards, situated at 270–300 m above sea level on clay-limestone soils.
Vinification
The must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30–32 °C. Frequent pump-overs promote the extraction of tannins and colour, followed by approximately 10 days of maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in barrels made from French Allier and American oak.
Tasting profile
Juicy, well structured and balanced, with a vibrant, rich aroma.
