Vintage notes
The 2006 season was initially balanced, but an exceptionally hot weekend in August coincided with veraison and severely damaged the grapes, reducing the crop by roughly 60%. Harvest began very early, and the resulting wines were high in alcohol. Magma “R” was the preferred wine of the vintage for its concentration. The vintage was rated Good+.
