Vintage notes
The 2024 season followed the severe crop losses of 2023 and was more balanced, though dry and reminiscent of 2022. Winter brought little snow and the valley vineyards received limited replenishing rain. Meaningful rainfall arrived only in late April and May, delaying new planting until late May. The remainder of the season was dry and warm without becoming excessively hot. Water retained in the subsoil after the wet 2023 season helped the old vines remain balanced. Fruit stayed healthy and clean through harvest, with little or no loss to damage or insufficient ripeness. Picking took place earlier than in the preceding 23 vintages. MunJebel® Rosso Picciolo and MunJebel® Rosso Scimonetta were the preferred wines of the 2024 vintage, which was rated Very Good to Very Good+.
