About this wine

Vinification

The grapes were gently pressed during skin maceration. The wine was fermented in a combination of 50-hectoliter oak vats and cement tanks.

Ageing

The wine aged for two years in the same combination of 50-hectoliter oak vats and cement tanks.

Label / history

IDDA was first planned in 2015 as a joint project of Etna winemaker Alberto Graci and Angelo Gaja, the Barbaresco producer from Piedmont. The 2017 red was released in 2019, and the 2018 dry white followed in 2020. The name comes from the Sicilian dialect and means "she", an affectionate name that locals use for Mount Etna.
