About this wine
Asili Riserva is Bruno Giacosa’s Nebbiolo from the Asili vineyard in Barbaresco. The 2020 release comes from a 2.5-hectare holding with south and southwest exposure, at around 250 metres, on calcareous clay with sand. Its garnet colour accompanies ripe red-fruit aromas. Freshness and integrated tannins give the palate balance, structure and a sustained finish. For 2020, fermentation and maceration lasted twenty days in stainless steel, followed by malolactic fermentation. Maturation comprised twenty months in large French oak casks and thirty months in bottle. The 2020 wine has 14.5% alcohol.
