About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from the Montestefano MGA, whose soils are composed of clay and limestone.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at 30°C, followed by 28 days of maceration on the skins. Malolactic fermentation is completed.
Ageing
The wine matures for a minimum of 30 months in oak casks with capacities of 25–50 hl. Bottling takes place in June.
Tasting profile
Full and enveloping, with considerable persistence. It is sometimes nicknamed “the Barolo of Barbaresco.”
Serving and pairing
Suggested pairings include pasta and risotto, white and red meats, and game.
