About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the 0.6-hectare Rabaja vineyard in Piedmont. The site faces southwest and has limestone and clay soils. The vines are 24–28 years old, planted at 4,000 vines per hectare, with yields limited to 45 hl/ha.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand. Maceration and fermentation take place in stainless-steel tanks over 20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 20 months in French oak botti, followed by 17 months in bottle.
