About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Favorita is the Piedmontese expression of Vermentino. Here it grows far from the sea, in a continental climate and on sandy soils in Monticello d'Alba. These conditions shape the wine's fresh, saline character.

Grapes

95% Favorita and 5% Riesling.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested in September. Malolactic fermentation is limited to 10% of the wine.

Ageing

Maturation takes place exclusively in stainless steel, including eight months on the lees.

Tasting profile

Fresh and saline in character.

Serving and pairing

Suitable as an aperitif and versatile at the table. Suggested pairings include fish starters and main courses, fresh cheeses, pizza and focaccia. Ageing potential is eight years.

Label / history

Fallegro was created in 1973 and was among the early wines made from Favorita. The 2025 release represents its 52nd harvest.
