About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay comes from a single 0.2-hectare plot in the Trifolera vineyard. The plot has never been planted with varieties used for Barbaresco, and produces a small crop.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in late September and gently pressed. The must ferments at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine ages for 9–10 months in 225-litre French oak barrels, of which 40% are new and 60% previously used, followed by a further six months in bottle.
Label / history
Annual production is 1,200 bottles.
