About this wine

Style

Made only in exceptional years, from a portion of the Amarone held back for longer ageing.

Vinification

The selected grapes are dried; noble rot appears in November and develops until January. At the end of January they undergo a 20-day maceration and an alcoholic fermentation of about 45 days, which carries on slowly through the ageing until the wine is dry.

Ageing

Seven years and more in Slavonian oak casks — two or three years beyond the Amarone.

Technical data

Alcohol: 17%.
