Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on plots in Vinchio and Mombercelli. Their poor, sandy soils had deterred vine planting before Icardi established vineyards there.
Label / history
“Nui Sui” means “we” in the Piedmontese dialect. The two wedding rings on the label originally represented the marriage of the vineyard owner and his wife. Although they separated a year after the wine was released, the name and rings were retained as a tribute to people in love. The name also recalls Icardi’s decision to plant the previously avoided sites in Vinchio and Mombercelli.
