About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo is grown at 280 metres above sea level on limestone and marl soils. The vines average 35–40 years old and are planted at 5,000 plants per hectare. Organic cultivation, careful vineyard management and substantial yield reduction are used to increase concentration and richness.
Vinification
After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place for 15 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks at 32 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures for 30 months in new French oak barrels.
Tasting profile
The 2007 vintage is elegant, soft and fruit-forward, with concentrated, rich flavours.
