About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Nebbiolo comes from three different parts of the Barolo zone. The vines average 45 years of age. Icardi uses organic and biodynamic methods in its vineyards.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand in late October. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 33 °C for 15 days.

Ageing

The wine ages for 36 months in new French oak barrels.

Serving and pairing

Serve in a wide-bowled glass.

Label / history

In Piedmontese dialect, “Parej” means “this is how we do it!” The name expresses the producer’s belief that Barolo should retain its essential character despite advances in equipment and technology.
