Vinification
The grapes undergo careful selection. Winemaker Stefano Chioccioli and Ferruccio Ferragamo oversee the vineyard and cellar work.
Ageing
Ageing takes place in two stages over a total of two years.
Label / history
Produced in limited quantities, each bottle is individually numbered. The wine takes its name from Tuscan nobleman Alessandro del Borro, an early owner of Il Borro and a general and field marshal of the Holy Roman Empire. His portrait appears on the label. His large build was regarded as a sign of status in his time. The wine originated in Ferruccio Ferragamo’s interest in winemaking and Syrah.
