About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in Venezia Giulia on soils made up mainly of marl and sandstone. They face southwest and northeast.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in early September. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 16 °C and lasts 20 days.
Ageing
The wine spends around six months on the lees in stainless steel tanks, followed by several months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Like all of Silvio Jermann's wines, it is very enjoyable when young and develops its typical Chardonnay character more fully with age.
