About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from high-altitude sites with poor marl and sandstone soils, which naturally limit yields and give the wine greater intensity.
Vinification
Traditional fermentation.
Ageing
The wine spends 6 months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks, which gives it roundness and depth. After bottling it matures for several more months to reach a balanced, harmonious taste.
Tasting profile
Stylish and refreshing, with a distinct regional character and subtle depth. Lively acidity and juicy ripe-fruit flavours are joined by delicate mineral notes. The aroma is elegant, with pear and wet stone adding depth and a sense of place. The wine is very enjoyable young, but it comes into its own 2–3 years after bottling, when its typical varietal character is fully expressed.
Vintage notes
2024: a well-balanced growing season, with a mild spring and cool nights in midsummer, giving ideal conditions for fresh, refined wines.
Label / history
The first vintage of this Pinot Grigio was 1974.
