About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Pinot Noir and Merlot grow in a southwest-facing vineyard on soils rich in Eocene granite and sandstone.
Vinification
The grapes ferment for one month at 25 °C, followed by maceration in large oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine ages for 18 months in small, used oak barrels.
Label / history
Following a family tradition, Silvio Jermann named Red Angel after his eldest son, Angelo. The first vintage was released in 1988.
