About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards in Villanova di Farra, on a plateau between the Collio hills and the Isonzo River. The southwest- and northwest-facing sites have predominantly clay and gravel soils, with abundant marl and sandstone. Airflow creates marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for 7–10 days.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees in stainless-steel tanks for at least six months, followed by several months in bottle.
