Label / history
Created with the 1987 harvest, the wine is dedicated to U2’s album The Joshua Tree and particularly the song “Where the Streets Have No Name.” During its first nine years it was called “Where the Dreams Have No End…”; the capsule changed colour with every vintage, progressing anticlockwise through the seven rainbow colours plus white and black, while the label depicted four phases of the moon. In 1996 the name became “Were Dreams, Now It Is Just Wine!”, accompanied by a blue capsule showing the Hale-Bopp comet. Seven years later, in 2003, it became “W… Dreams…”, with the harvest year below and Mars on the capsule; the ellipsis was interpreted as “Where Dreams Can Happen.” A fourth label edition began with the 2013 vintage, commemorating astronomical events involving the ISON comet and the Rosetta mission’s Philae landing. In 2015 the label returned to the first-edition name, “Where Dreams Have No End…”. The original label also appeared in the 1998 Disney film The Parent Trap.
