About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The three grape varieties grow on sunny hills in Friuli-Venezia Giulia at 180 m above sea level. Fresh breezes help the fruit ripen while retaining freshness. The vines are 21–44 years old.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from mid-September and carefully selected. Pinot Grigio is gently pressed, and its must undergoes spontaneous fermentation in barriques. Chardonnay and Sauvignon are destemmed, then macerated for four days in Slavonian oak fermenters with native yeasts. The wine is bottled without filtration.
Ageing
The wine rests in barrels for 11 months, followed by one year in stainless steel tanks and a further 12 months in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
Textured and aromatic, with a slightly eccentric style built on contrasts.
