About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the municipality of Treiso, at an altitude of 380 metres. The vineyard has an eastern exposure and predominantly sandy soil over a dense layer of marl. The vines are 20 years old on average.
Vinification
Harvest timing varies according to the degree to which the bunches have dried on the vine, but picking usually takes place between 25 November and 10 December. The overripe grapes are carefully selected. Fermentation lasts around four weeks in stainless-steel tanks at 16–18 °C.
Ageing
Part of the wine ages for 18 months in 500-litre barrels. After bottling, it matures in the winery’s cellars for at least another year.
Tasting profile
The aroma is ethereal. The palate is warm, smooth and enveloping.
