About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from a 5.5 ha vineyard in Tuscany with clay-limestone soils. The vines are 17–20 years old. Organic practices are used in the vineyard, with minimal intervention.
Grapes
Depending on the vintage, the blend may contain a small proportion of Cabernet Franc, Canaiolo or Alicante.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and pressed directly at the winery. Fermentation starts spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless-steel vats. Organic cellar practices and minimal intervention are employed. The wine is bottled without filtration or clarification, with no added sulfites.
Ageing
The wine ages partly in stainless-steel vats and partly in old barriques.
Label / history
The wine is produced by Domaine de' Cocci Rotti, which is owned by the La Ginestra cooperative.
