About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in clay and sandy soils near Barberino Val d’Elsa, at an altitude of 320 metres. The vines were planted in 1961.
Grapes
The wine is made from selected grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand into crates at optimal ripeness, usually in early September. Fermentation takes place in steel vats with native yeasts and no temperature control. The wine macerates on the skins for 14 days, with manual punch-downs.
Ageing
The wine rests for six months in steel tanks, followed by 12 months in small barrels.

Annual production is limited to 2,000 bottles.
