About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The 23 ha Tenuta Maccan estate lies in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Its mineral-bearing soils are rich in dolomitic limestone, with clay and pebbles particularly suited to red-wine production.

Vinification

The grapes are picked during the first ten days of October and macerated for 10–12 days. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The wine does not undergo oak ageing.

Ageing

The wine rests in stainless-steel vats for 8–10 months.

Tasting profile

Rich and slightly tannic on the palate, with an elegant, fruit-forward character.

Label / history

Tenuta Maccan was founded in 2012.
