About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines are 30 years old and grow on plots near the Adriatic Sea, in a mild Mediterranean climate. The soils are clay-limestone, rich in trace elements. Yields are capped at 80 hectolitres, and planting density is 3 500 vines per hectare.
Vinification
Harvest takes place in late September. The grapes undergo 36 hours of cold pre-fermentation maceration, then are gently pressed. The must is transferred to temperature-controlled tanks, where fermentation proceeds slowly.
Ageing
The wine matures on its lees in stainless steel tanks for several months.
