About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on hillsides west of Verona, around the municipalities of Soave and Monteforte. The soils are alluvial and the climate mild; nearby Lake Garda moderates temperature extremes, which benefits the harvest.
Grapes
A portion of the grapes is picked late, adding gently sweet, honeyed notes.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand, gently pressed and briefly macerated on the skins, after which the must is quickly separated. Fermentation takes place at 15–16 °C.
Ageing
The wine is aged in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. It is then filled into glass bottles on a sterile cold-bottling line, using chilled, filtered wine. A special closure method leaves no oxygen under the cap. These techniques help the wine keep its delicate character, aroma and quality for a long time.
Tasting profile
Delicate, aromatic and fresh. Garganega brings plenty of juicy fruit aromas to the bouquet, with gently sweet, honeyed notes from the late-harvest portion.
Serving and pairing
Served chilled. It pairs with light dishes, seafood and fish.
