About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Labella comes from Strongoli in Calabria. The soils are clayey and calcareous. Vines are trained to spur-pruned cordon at 5,000 plants per hectare. Yields are 80 quintals of grapes and 52 hectolitres of wine per hectare.
Grapes
100% Greco Bianco. The variety gives fresh, fruit-driven wines with good acidity and savouriness, typically showing exotic and yellow-fruit notes.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first ten days of September. The grapes undergo soft pressing and are vinified in stainless steel. Secondary fermentation takes place in an autoclave to create the wine’s frizzante character.
Ageing
The wine remains in stainless steel and then spends a few months in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
A lively frizzante white defined by freshness, aromatic vibrancy, fruit, acidity and savoury character.
Serving and pairing
Designed to be drunk young, while its freshness and aromatic energy are at their most expressive.
