About this wine
Rosenplatz is a white Collio blend from Livio Felluga. The 2003 vintage combines 65% Chardonnay with 35% Sauvignon Blanc and develops a bright straw-yellow colour. Hawthorn and acacia accompany apple, peach and pear, with further tropical and stone-fruit accents. Freshness at the opening is balanced by a smooth texture and the warmth of alcohol. Peach, pear and plum carry into a lingering finish. The 2003 wine spent several months in barriques, followed by five months in bottle. Its food pairings include filled pasta, fish and mushroom soups, and sautéed fish.
