About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Barsaglina is grown on approximately 0.5 ha of well-exposed alluvial soil at the Campolucci estate, around 250 m above sea level. The vineyard is managed with minimal soil disturbance, short spur pruning on cordon-trained vines, summer foliage management and selective harvesting.
Grapes
100% Barsaglina.
Vinification
The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed, then fermented in small vats. A prolonged maceration of approximately 20 days is accompanied by pumping-over alternating with délestage. Malolactic fermentation follows alcoholic fermentation.
Ageing
Maturation takes place in previously used French oak barrels before final bottle refinement.
