About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come exclusively from historic crus within the municipality of Barolo. The vineyards occupy well-sloped hills with limestone and clay soils containing grey sandstone, overlaid with quartz sand and silt. The cuvée brings together fruit shaped by the distinct soils and microclimates of the individual vineyards, as well as the climatic character of each vintage.

Vinification

The wine undergoes fermentation, maceration and malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

Ageing begins in small oak barrels and continues in traditional large Slavonian oak casks. The wine then matures in bottle for several more months and reaches maturity six years after the harvest.
